| DESCRIPTION(last modified February 19, 2017 )Graz tram opened in 1878 (initial horse tram); its electrification was completed in 1899. In 1941 a narrow gauge electric railway (Graz-Mariatrost) was converted from metric (1000 mm) to standard gauge (1435 mm) rails in order to be integrated to the tram network. The last network extensions were completed in 2012 and 2016.
 The current tram network consists in 6 lines.
