DESCRIPTION
Magdeburg tram opened in 1877 (initial horse tram) and it was electrified in 1899. The last tram extensions opened in 1984 (Olvenstedter Platz-Olvenstedt),1991 (Klosterwuhne-Lerchenwuhne), 1992 (Sudring-Westring), 2004 (Westring-Albert Vater Strasse/Europaring) and 2012 (Leipziger Chaussee-Reform).
The current tram network consists in 10 lines.
