DESCRIPTION Torun tram opened in 1891 (initial horse tram) and it was electrified in 1899. During 1907-1931 the tram network was constituted by 3 lines: a fourth line opened in 1934 (along the left bank of river Vistula). Wrsosy tram route was closed in 1972, while a new line going to Skarpie opened in 1984; an extension towards the university campus opened in 2014.
The current network consists in 5 lines.
