DESCRIPTION
Dortmund tram opened in 1891; it was operated continuously till years 70s, when it was planned a Stadtbahn network (premetro), with underground sections in the city centre. The first premetro section opened in 1976 (Kirchderne-Grevel), followed by many further extensions (the last one opened in 2002 and 2008). The current premetro network consists in 8 lines.
