DESCRIPTION
A suspended monorail system (the so-called H-Bahn, SAFEGE monorail type) opened in Dortmund in 1984. This system is articulated in 2 lines: the first one connects Eichlinghofen district with Technologiezentrum (with an intermediate stop at Do-Universitat, where H-Bahn interchanges with Bochum-Dusseldorf suburban railway line), the second one connects the 2 university campus (Campus North, Campus South) mostly running along the same alignement of the first line. H-Bahn system is completely driverless.
