Tenerife
Tranvia de Tenerife Line 1 (12.5 km, 21 stops) opened on 2 June 2007, connecting Intercambiador de Transportes de Santa Cruz to Avenida de la Trinidad de La Laguna. The track runs inside the capital town (Santa Cruz), serving some of the main polarities, as Canarie and Nuestra Senora de La Candelaria Hospitals, Taco, La Cuesta and La Laguna university campus. The annual ridership is about 12 million pax/year.
Line 2 (Tincer-La Cuesta) is currently under construction; it will share El Cardonal-Hospital Universitario section with Line 1.
