SCHONBERGER-STRAND
Schonberger Strand
Kiel tramway network (1100 mm gauge, total length of 10 km) was set up in years '20s and, like in many other towns, it was slowly dismissed after the second world war; the last section to be closed (1985) was line n. 4 (passing through the railway station), which used Duewag rolling stock.
One of the trams has been recovered and runs from 1996 along a short track inside Schonberger Strand transports museum museum (VVM Museumsbahnen), 25 km from Kiel.
