A modern tramway line opened in Zaragoza on 19-04-2011, along a north-south route connecting Valdespartera (Mago de Oz) to Parque Goya (Academia), passing through the city center along a special section without any overhead wire. Important interchange opportunities are assured by 2 parking areas (at Valdespartera and close to La Chimenea stop); another interchange stop is located at the railway station (Fernando el Catolico-Goya stop). The construction is planned in 2 phases (ph. 1: Mago de Oz-Gran Via; ph. 2: Gran Via-Academia).
