RIMINI
Rimini
In Rimini works are going on to realize a tram-on-tyre system (to be chosen among optical and magnetical technology) called Metrò di Costa connecting Rimini and Riccione railway station by a single track (with double track intermediate sections) parallel to Bologna-Ancona railway line (in the internal side). It will fill the historical gap separating the coast side (particulary vital during the summer season) and the city side (with its residential area populated during all the other periods of the year). Metrò di Costa is going to have important stops at some railway stations (Rimini FS, Riccione FS, Miramare), some stops near interchange parking areas and other stops near touristic attractions (Fiabilandia, etc.).
