In Parla (Comunidad de Madrid, 20 km south of the capital) the first section of a new tramway line has been opened on 06-05-2007, followed by the second stretch on 08-09-2007. Tranvia de Parla circular route serves crucial urban areas (such as the city center, hospital,commercial centers and amusement parks) following Parla's demographic growth generated by the development of important new suburbs (Los Leguarios, La Laguna, Las Americas, Parla Este).
Two railway interchange points (at the existing railway station and at the future Parla Este railway station) must be mentioned, besides many interchange parking areas (more than 4.500 car places).
