PALMA
Palma
In Palma works a new metro system (about 7.5 km long, mostly underground) has been opened on 25 April 2007.
The line connects Plaza de Espana (intermodal stop, which is at the railway station and close to the main bus terminal) to the university campus UIB (Universitat de les Illes Balears), passing through the city center; UIB and Son Sardina stops (the latter located inside an old and fashinating downtown area) are the only ones to be ground level.
