Nice
In Nice the first tramway line (north-south, "U" shape, along Comte de Falicon-Medicin-Pont Michel route) opened on 24 November 2007; plans for a second line (east-west, along the coast, from Cagnes-sur-Mer to Port de Nice) and a third line (Saint-Augustin/Plaine du Var/Lingostiere) are considered.
Line 1 connects boulevard Comte de Falicon (northern part of the city) to eastern suburb of valle du Paillon (up to Pont Michel) passing through Place Massena, along an important traffic axis (about 125.000 inhabitants and 40.000 employees lie into a 400 m radius from the track); among the urban polarities served by Line 1, university, stadium, acropolis and some commercial areas can be mentioned. There are some interchanges parkings Along the route (1500 car places); among them, the terminal parkings at Comte de Falicon and Pont Michel.
