NICE
Nice
The first Nice tramway line (north-south, "U" shape, along Las Planas-Comte de Falicon-Medicin-Pont Michel route) opened on 24 November 2007. The track connects boulevard Comte de Falicon (northern part of the city) to the eastern suburb of Valle du Paillon (up to Pont Michel) passing through Place Massena, along an important traffic axis (about 125.000 inhabitants and 40.000 employees lie into a 400 m radius from the track); among the urban polarities served by Line 1, university, stadium, acropolis and some commercial areas can be mentioned. There are as well some interchanges parkings along the route (1500 car places).
Plans for a second line connecting Aeroport Nice Cote d'Azur are currently considered.
