Le Havre
Le Havre had a traway network since 1874 (initially with horse traction, further electrified); this system had a remarkable growt, joining a total lenght of 40 km and more than 20 millions pax/year in 1913, before being gradually reduced and definitely dismantled in 1951.
A modern tram line is under construction, with a characteristic "Y" shape. It will start nearby the coast, passing through the city center (there will be a short tunnel section), before branching off towards Mont-Gaillard (east) and Caucriauville/Clinique (north-west). Many important urban polarities will be served by this new tram line; among them, the University, Palais de Justice, the railway station (Gare SNFC) and the municipality building (Hotel de Ville) must be mentioned.
