GENOA
Genoa
Genoa metro runs currently from Brin to De Ferrari (total length 7 km, 10 stops), but works are going on for some extensions.
The radial track joins the city center (De Ferrari stop) and the crucial intermodal exchange point constituted by Principe stop (where metro interchanges with railway station, Marittima station, bus/taxi terminals and Granarolo funicolar).
Some important extensions are expected:
- De Ferrari - Brignole (currently under construction);
- northern extensions: Brin-Canepari, Canepari-Rivarolo;
- eastern extension: Brignole-Staglieno (4 stops, approved and expected for 2010), with a branch from Terralba-San Martino Hospital;
- possible south-western extension: Dinegro-Sampierdarena.
