Dnipropetrovsk
Dnipropetrovsk, third most populated town in Ukraine after the capital Kiev and Kharkiv, began the construction of its first metro line in 1982, as a part of a 3 lines planned network (80 km). The first stretch (Komunarivs'ka-Vokzal'na) has been opened only in 1995 (initial prediction: 1990); an eastern extension from Vokzal'na to Tsentral'na (about 4 km, 3 stops) is currently under construction.
