Copenaghen
Copenaghen from 2002 has a new automated metro system, based on two radial lines (M1: Vanlose-Vestamager; M2: Vanlose-Lufthavnen/Airport, both partly in viaduct and partly at ground level) converging in the city centrum at Christianshavn stop; then, the 2 lines merge into a central section in bored deep tunnel (Christianshavn-Vanlose).
The metro network assure two important interchanghe point with existing railway net (Orestad stop for national trains, Norreport for regional trains); the airport link (Lergravsparken-Airport section) opened on 28 September 2007.
A further line (City Circle Line), whose track will be used by M3 on the entire line and M4 only in the eastern side, should open in 2018; it will serve Norrebro, Kobenhavn H (central station) and Frederiksberg areas, interchanging with M1 and M2 at Kongens Nytorv and Frederiksberg.
