Works are going on for the construction of a tram-train line connecting some of the most important agglomerations of Cadiz Bay. This line will be articulated in 2 different sections: the first one will run from Chiclana to San Fernando in tramway mode on new tracks, the second one will connect San Fernando to Cadiz running on an existing railway sharing tracks with heavy rails vehicles.
A further line connecting Cadiz, Puerto de Santa Maria and Jerez de la Frontera is considered.
