Bordeaux
The first phase of Bordeaux Tram opened in 2003-2004, reaching the current asset after the second phase completion (2006-2008). The 3 radial lines (Line A, Line B, Line C) serve the main urban areas (Quais de Garonne, Pey-Berland, Pont de Pierre, Quinconces, Gare St-Jean, Cenon, Lormont, Talence, University) and converge on the city center; in the historical zones current is given to the trains by a modern third rail system integrated in the tracks, without any overhead wire.
5 further extensions of the initial lines are planned in 2009-2015, with a fourth line (Line D) to be opened in 2015.
