Angers
The first line of a modern tramway network is under construction in Angers.Line A (12 km) opened on 25 June 2011 running from Avrille to Angers southern side (la Roseraie), serving some new districts (Plateaux de la Mayenne and les Capucins), besides other important urban polarities (Hospital CHU, railway station, administrative center). The track insertion involves a general urban renewal, both in the city center and at the 2 terminals.
The future Line B should run west-east starting from Beaucouze passing through the university area, joining Line A at the railway station and serving Monplaisir, Saint-Barthelemy and Trelaze ou les Ponts-de-Ce.
